My cockatiel is panting. Is this an emergency after wing clip?

Without an exam it would be hard to tell if he is OK. You can do a few things first, such as remove any substrate in his cage that may kick up dust (replacing it with cage lines or newspaper/paper towels can help), and make sure he is not in a drafty room or one with a lot of dust and pollen that could cause sneezing. Making sure he is in a room that isn't too hot or cold and that is free from harassment by other pets or people can also help as panting can sometimes be related to temperature or stress. However, if you are seeing any nasal discharge, he is constantly panting with his mouth open, he isn't eating or drinking, or he worsens or doesn't get better, then seeking vet care is best. If you don't have an avian vet, seeing if any local vets in your area will take a look is a good course of action.

Panting alone doesn't point to any particular thing, however if Parrot hasn't been active and is just panting from sitting there, that could indicate an issue with the heart or lungs, or extreme stress or illness. In that case, a vet visit is best to check for the cause and get him treated. If he is panting after activity such as flying around a lot, being chased by a hand, etc, giving him time to rest and relax and return to normal is best--however if he doesn't, vet care is a good idea.

If Benji is becoming easily winded, panting heavily, or seems in distress after any activity I would have him examined by your vet. It's possible there is an underlying health issue that is making it harder for him to breathe, and having him treated by your vet may help. In the meantime, keeping him calm and reducing his activity some may help, but if the problem persists vet care is best.

It is certainly posdible that he could be damaged as they are quite delicate and their bones are relatively brittle. However I doubt this is the case, more likely I think that the bird has got really stressed when being held and overheated and likely struggled for breath. Handling can be incredibly stressful for birds and sometimes can even result in heart attacks. I would kerp him in a really calm and quiet environment as this has likely taken a large toal on him and he needs to rest. If there is no improvement you will need a vet check just in case there has been damage.

I'm sorry that your bird is so ill. This is a definite respiratory emergency. Could be an inhaled toxin like from Teflon or smoke oor a serious infection. Your bird needs heat, oxygen and ER care. Keep warm and upright until you can get to the vet. Do not try to give the bird anymore to eat or drink. Good luck with your sweet baby.

Unfortunately those are very general signs that Bubble may be ill and should be seen by a veterinarian in person. Extreme stress may also cause a bird to breathe rapidly or act aggressively. It is best to contact a vet near you to see if they treat birds or can point you to an avian vet if he continues to breathe rapidly. Until you can be seen, keeping Bubble in a warm hospital cage with easy access to food and water may help make him more comfortable, as well as keeping him in a calm, quiet area in case the breathing is worsened by stress/fear.

If Girl is having trouble breathing after that little of activity I would be concerned there is an issue such as an upper respiratory infection or some sort of injury. Since breathing problems are concerning and serious, it would be best to try and get her to a vet in your area so that she can be examined and treated for any healthy problems. Keeping her warm, reducing activity, and eating and drinking may help, however a vet visit is needed to address the issue.
