Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. I'm sorry that Mango is having this issue. Yes, many different metals can cause toxicity in birds if ingested but the main ones of concern are lead and zinc. You will need to take Mango to an avian vet when they are open. The metal snap will need to be removed even if it is made of a non harmless metal like stainless steel. I suggest you go to a speciality center as they are more likely to have an endoscope which will be better than doing an open surgery for removal. Sometimes, depending on where the metal piece is located in the GI tract and the size of the snap, they can try removal via bulking agents fed orally instead of doing any invasive procedures. Swallowing an earring is concerning because the stud could cause a puncture or perforation to the stomach or intestines. This needs to be monitored closely and the earring may need to be removed surgically or endoscopically. Vomiting can be caused by many things including eating the earring. It's absolutely not fine if it is in her stomach, and it's a very bad situation as she will probably need to have a surgery done to get it removed. these surgeries can only be done by avian vet specialist and even with one, the chances of a successful surgery are less than 50% survival.

IT sounds as this has cause a toxic reaction causing vomiting, you will need tp take them to an avian vet specialist urgently in order to get treated for this toxicity, they will need medications to stop the vomiting and possibly fluid therapy as well.

Wow, this is a really difficult question to answer. Could you please repost your question with a photo of the plant/stem? There is no way for me to help you without that and even with that I am not sure I will know what it is. Try to do some research on your own to see what the name of the plant is and then search Google as to whether or not it is known to be toxic to birds. Your other option is to take Chita and the plant to your local AVIAN vet and have them examine it for you. Other possible causes of blood would be a retained or broken egg, heavy metal toxicity, foreign body, trauma, or a bleeding tumor. Whatever the underlying cause, it is potentially serious and requires a thorough assessment and treatment by a veterinarian. One thing I have seen is birds that have recently eaten red berries or other red food may pass droppings that may resemble blood. If Angel hasn’t recently (within 12-24 hours) eaten anything very red, then i would take her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Good luck.
