Why is my bird silent, sleepy, not eating, and has green poop?

Veterinarians can sometimes have access to injectable doxycycline, since won't take orally. Gavage feeding the medications and food could also be beneficial and a veterinarian can assist with the technique. With an all seed or heavy seed diet, fatty liver disease is possible which will not respond to the medications. Looser stools can be caused by a number of things. If you've recently given Sky a bunch of snacks (such as fruits and veggies) or changed her diet, this can cause temporary stool color changes or moist stool. Removing any extra treats and letting her adjust to her new diet for a few days may help. If she has differently colored pellets in her food, this may also cause color changes to the stool as well. Other causes can include parasites, GI upset, illness, nutritional issues, metabolic issues, etc. If she didn't have a diet change or any snacks, or is showing other signs of illness in addition to the loose stool/color change (you mentioned she is less active), then having her examined by a vet is best. They can treat her for parasites and help rule out any more serious underlying conditions that may require treatment.

One mild concern would be a condition call chlamydophilosis, which can also be communicable to other birds and people. I'm sorry to hear Ophelia isn't doing well. If she's had any other signs of illness such as changes in eating and drinking habits (drinking less water), or seems listless, is losing weight, etc. I would be concerned that there is something underlying such as an illness, infection or even parasites which are also causing the stool changes. You didn't mention if you give her treats or have changed her diet, but sudden changes in diet or an excess of fruits and veggie treats can sometimes cause color and stool changes, which should resolve after getting used to the new food, or removing any extras other than her regular diet. Pellets in diets can also sometimes cause stool changes or color changes as well. If she is otherwise normal and healthy and you made this change, then giving it a day or two to see if it returns to normal may help. However, if the problem continues, she seems in distress, or you haven't made any changes, then having your vet take a look and bringing in a sample of Ophelia's stool to your vet for a fecal test is best to rule out more serious issues.

If Sky's behavior has changed recently, and you are are also noticing a change in stool consistency without a change in diet or environment, then having him examined by your vet is a good idea. Some environmental changes, such as extreme heat may cause a bird to be more lethargic until it cools down, however they should still otherwise be eating, drinking and moving about some. Diet changes can also change the color or consistency of stool if there are colored pellets or different seeds introduced. It may be that he is still mourning the loss of his friend, and so is less active, however being completely uninterested in activities, having a change in stool without a diet change, or sleeping all the time are not considered normal.
