My sheep can hardly walk as her foot is very sore. She has arthritis in her leg. Is there anything that would help her arthritis you would recommend? Please

Hello. No bother, If this is foot rot it can indeed be contagious. But more than likely there is some underlying issue with Annabelle that allowed this to get out of control. Perhaps something with her immune system. Goats can be pretty antsy when it comes to doing any kind of treatments, but another idea might be to soak a pad of gauze in the solution I mentioned ( & if you have no veterinarian who can supply these to you, you can try using Kopertox ) & wrap the soggy gauze to the bottom of the foot with bandage material. Change this every few days & at each change try to pare away more of the hoof as the tissue softens up. Sometimes adding injectable tetracycline will help. Just use a dose often mentioned on some of the goat sites ( we are not allowed to recommend doses on this site ). Hopefully this will help. Good luck & thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
