How much should I feed my 5-month-old mini pig to prevent obesity?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Male | neutered | 5 months and 19 days old

I will be getting a Juliana Mini pig tomorrow but I'm unsure on the amount I should feed him a day, he us 5 months old and neutered, I'm being told different things, I just don't want to overfeed him and have an obese pig, because I know that will bring more harm to him and can lead to arthritis. How much should I feed my Mini pig?

Pigs should be fed a specific diet, such as in this case the Mazuri mini pig diet. I would recommend following the guidelines on the bag for your pig's particular size and weight. In addition, supplemental food can be in small quantities. I would encourage you to refer to the following page for information as it is a great source of info for new pig owners.

Hope this helps.
