What truly defines a high-quality premium diet for my dog or cat?

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. My top recommendations of veterinary diets include Hill's Science Diet, Purina, and Royal Canin. These are well-known brands that are stocked in veterinary hospitals, and are AAFCO formulated to be balanced and appropriate. I recommend avoiding grain-free, boutique diets from other brands, as these are not regulated and often are do not have balanced nutrients. I hope this is helpful!

What are the best dog and puppy food and treat brands to buy?

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I personally like the Purina Pro Plan diets as well as the Hill's Science Diet foods as I think they are both palatable and highly nutritious. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals. Should I use Broth Bowls food topper? Is it safe and healthy for dogs?

This product is just a flavor enhancer and is only necessary to help get your dog to eat his normal food. It does have some nutritional properties to it and the ingredients all appear safe and appropriate to use for feeding. Just keep in mind that you are adding calories, so it should be minimally used with his normal food and you may consider cutting back his normal food a little if you are going to regularly add this to it. This product is definitely not intended to replace the food and is not nutritionally balanced like the royal canin food is. I hope that helps and all is well with Joey.
