Here is a list of items that are useful for initial care for your rabbit, treating mior injuries and ailments. These items will not replace the care of a qualified veterinarian. If your rabbit has a large open wound or has not pooped or eaten in 12-24 hours it should be seen by a vet immediately. Also blue or pale gums, labored open mouth breathing, losing consciousness, excessive diarrhea, and/or seizures or if you know your rabbit has eaten something poisonous warrant an immediated vet visit. Write the phone number of your veterinarian in big numbers onto the box in which you keep the first aid items.
