Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. Good luck and enjoy your pup!

Hello, thank you for using PetCoach.\ You can use any type of filler you would like however, most of what you will find is polyester types. You can purchase "stuffing" at any fabric type store like JoAnn Fabrics. ( https://www.joann.com/sewing/foam-and-fiber/fiberfill/ ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Unless he is exhibiting other symptoms, such as lethargy, GI upset, decreased appetite, lameness or abdominal pain, then there is likely no cause for concern. As you stated yourself, it is a new bed and it may be more comfortable than the settee for Woody.

Put a toy on it and sit there with Chloe on the bed and pet and praise her. You can also throw a treat onto the bed asking her to go to bed and praise her when she gets on the bed. Once she knows you want her to lay in it she'll learn that it's her special place and love it. Some dogs will roll on their backs and rub on the bed to get their scent on it too. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Chloe.

I suggest blocking off your bed so that Oli doesn't have access to it for a few weeks. At the same time have a nice, comfy bed for Oli in the same room. You may also want to offer Oli a Kong stuffed with peanut butter or spray cheese so that can distract him in his bed. If Oli seems anxious about his new sleeping arrangement an Adaptil collar or diffuser in the room may help. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and good luck!
