Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is actually quite common. The trick is to make them associate this with something positive. What I have found to be very helpful is to start by just using the sweater for an hour or two at a time initially and to give her treats during that time to make her experience with it enjoyable. You can continue to increase the amount of time she has it on until you are able to keep it on for however long you need. This is very likely to help with this issue. Good luck and have a good night!

Leave the lights on so he can acclimate and see they is no danger. Don't force him to go into the room or near the lights. If and when he does, praise and reward him. Consider a pheromone product such as the Adaptil collar or DAP plug in diffuser to decrease any anxiety.

I would get them doggie sweaters! This will help keep them warm both inside and outside the house. They can wear the sweaters indoors, and you can also get thick doggie coats for them to wear outside. Pet stores will carry these, and some of the stuff they have is really cute. I'd buy those for your dogs. I hope this helps!

Poor pup! You can try a DAP pheromone collar along with a natural calming supplement like Zylkene or Composure if you wish - these are very safe and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription. If you think that she may need something stronger, I would recommend talking with your regular vet about whether she might benefit from prescription anti-anxiety medication, such as alprazolam or trazodone.

Yes there are some over the counter products you can try such as the thunder shirt or an Adaptil collar or diffuser. However if you want something that will work without fail I would try Alprazolam or Valium but these require a prescription through your vet so schedule an appt soon. I hope everything works out for your pets and happy holidays.
