They do prefer to have a soft place to sleep. This can be done with a towel, straw, or a blanket. Most importantly, they like an enclosed place to sleep - like in a box. I hope that helps and all is well with Fluffy.

He may be bored with the items in his cage. Keep a variety of toys and chew treats for him and rotate their usage to prevent boredom. You can also let him out of his cage for play and exercise each day. Supervision is required so he doesn't chew cords or wires. Rabbits do sleep and it would be good to provide a dark area or turn the lights off at night so he can rest.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Mice just have a natural ability to escape. The cage you get should be able to be closed securely. Any good quality commercial cage should be fine to keep your mice safe. Good luck and have a nice day!

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Rabbits sometimes do this behavior when they are scared or as a form of play. If Louie is not acting like himself, I recommend having him seen by a vet as soon as possible. If he has resumed normal behavior, you can monitor him at home to make sure he continues eating, drinking, and having normal bowel movements. I recommend filming the behavior of you are able to in case Louie continues doing it and I would be happy to take a look.

I recommend choosing the larger cage for sweet pea. Hamsters like to have separate bathroom / toilet areas well away from their bedding, so the one with the biggest base area is the best. Height of cage is less important. Also provide safe chewing sticks for her to gnaw her teeth on.
