In general products from Vetri-Science are held in high regard by alternative vets, however I can't find much of a consensus as to whether these calming treats are helpful. You can certainly try them, but they may not work. You may have to separate Lio away from the older cat at night, so that she can rest.

Ark Naturals makes a poultry free dental chew. VetriScience Perio Plus also has a poultry free line. It may be difficult since chicken is an inexpensive, therefore common, ingredient in foods and treats. Another option would be to bake your own dental treats at home. In January our cat was diagnosed with crystals in his urine. He was put on Hills Urinary Control food. For a short time I was able to get Royal Canin Treats for him. Then the vets said they couldn't approve them until he was seen in their office.
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! So your Vet will prescribe the prescription food but not the treats? I would ask to speak to your Vet directly. Sadly anything that is prescription requires a valid Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship (VCPR). A VCPR requires a yearly exam which is what the law/veterinary boards require from the Vet. Any refill on prescriptions need yearly exams. With that being said you may be able to find the treats online as it is hard to enforce prescription diets, let alone treats. For what it is worth it is in the best interest of Oscar to have yearly exams and be up to date on his vaccines. I wish you the best!

Hi, I bought the attached snack from pet store. Is it suitable for Noushi ? P.S. Noushi takes another multivitamin everyday per vet's advice which has taurine like this snack. Is too much taurine harmful ?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! The treat is fine, just follow the dosing instructions on the back of the treat bag. With any new treat watch for upset stomach signs: vomit and diarrhea. Extra taurine is not harmful, she will just urinate out the excess. Have a great day!
