Why does my cat prefer Sheba cat food over Friskies or 9 Lives?

Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! Sheba brand is a slightly better formula than the Friskies and 9 lives. It may also be that the Sheba brand food is more palatable to her than the others. Like people, cats can have variable tastes so it may be that she just prefers this brand over the others.

My kitten won't eat kitten food. Can he eat adult cat food safely?

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would find an "All Stages" food that all the cats can eat. There are many companies that make this kind of food that can be fed to adults and kittens. Hi. No, you don't need a specific breed type food for Caterina. If she is 6 years old or more, any adult or senior food is ok. You will want to feed a high quality food such as science diet, royal canin, or iams for best results. Good luck.

What Royal Canin food is best for my active adult cat? Wet or dry?

Yes, I personally like Royal Canin diets. For her age, just the regular Adult food is fine. Canned food can be very expensive if that is all you are feeding. You can also feed a combination of both wet and dry if you'd like. Feed her according to the directions on the packaging. If you do both wet and dry you need to make sure you don't overfeed her. She is already at her maximum weight so if you notice weight gain you will need to back off on how much you are feeding.

Are Sheba wet cat food can feeding guidelines accurate for my cat?

I would recommend following the guideline on the can to start. Usually it is an overestimate of the required calories. If your cat seems to be losing or gaining weight you can then adjust how much food you are feeding. If your cat is on the thinner side you may want to start with more food and if your cat is overweight start on the lower end of the recommended amount of food.
