Seresto will be most cost-effective. It is a good quality product and lasts for 8 months. It would be a good choice for a working dog. Nexgard is as good (safe and effective) as Seresto but it will cost you more per year compared with Seresto.

Seresto is a very good product and in my experience would work best. Otherwise it seems you are doing everything Nina needs. Benadryl and any other medication you are giving should be ideally supervised by your veterinarian. Hope that answers your questions, if not please contact us again!

Hello, & thank you for using Boop by Petco. Yes, you can absolutely place a Seresto Collar on Nala today, if you wish. But please consider that here may be other reasons besides fleas that are causing her to itch. Dogs can suffer from many allergies, just like we can, & sometimes fall can be the worse time of year for this. You will probably need to speak with your veterinarian to see if Nala does have allergies, & not fleas, & what medications will work best for her. Take care.

Typically with the seresto flea collar you do not need any other type of flea prevention. It does take about 24 hours for the collar to start to work. If Roscoe had fleas when you applied the collar i would also recommend giving a dawn dish soap bath and treating the environment. hope that helps

I've had mixed reviews with the Seresto flea collar and have had a handful of dogs that have still had fleas even with the collar. I prefer to use an oral preventative such as Bravecto or Nexgard. Frontline, which is a topical preventative, is also a good option.
