What treats are safe for my cat with kidney disease and special diet?

That’s good that Isabella is eating the diet and doing well. I am not aware of any treats specifically for renal disease but Royal Canin makes a cat treat that has a low phosphorus and can be given as a treat. Most vets would agree that Isabella could have a single normal cat treat here and there. You do want any ‘normal’ treats to be minimal (like 3 treats in a week) and even the Royal Canin treats should not be more than 5% of her daily calorie intake. Whenever you look at treats, you want a low phosphorus and ideally a lower protein. I would avoid human food as treats. I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco.

What Royal Canin food is best for my active adult cat? Wet or dry?

Yes, I personally like Royal Canin diets. For her age, just the regular Adult food is fine. Canned food can be very expensive if that is all you are feeding. You can also feed a combination of both wet and dry if you'd like. Feed her according to the directions on the packaging. If you do both wet and dry you need to make sure you don't overfeed her. She is already at her maximum weight so if you notice weight gain you will need to back off on how much you are feeding.

My cat is bored with Royal Canin. What new cat food should I buy?

I would recommend choosing a brand of food and sticking with it. Changing food frequently can lead to digestive upset and a picky eater. I do not recommend cooking for cats as they have very specific amino acid requirements and can become very sick if they do not receive a proper diet.
