Por favor, perdona mi horrible español! ¡Hola!

It is hard to really answer your question about Rocco beccause many factors go into allergies. There are three types of allergies in dogs - this inculdes food, environmental and flea. I would highly recommend apply flea prevention every 30 days to Rocco even if you do not see fleas. When a dog is allergic to fleas it only takes 1 bite to make them very itchy. It can be difficult to tell the difference between food and environmental allergies. I typicallly do not start apoquel unless the patient has been on a food trial. This is where they feed a prescritpion food ONLY for 12 plus weeks. Over the counter food can be contaminated with proteins and will not work to determine a food allergy. If we have proven the patient only has an environmental allergy than apoquel can be a good medication to use. However it is only going to work ifthe skin does not have any type of infection present (like bacteria or fungal and also ear infections). Apoquel does suppress the immune system to help decrease the itchy. Typically this is not harmful for most dogs. However I would recommend consulting your vet fist to make sure nothing in Roccos medical history would make him a bad canidate for apoquel and it is a proper drug for him. Hope that helps. You can aways try a pet coach consult if you need/want more information.

You can find this product at any of the online veterinary pharmacies. In order to find the best value I would recommend going on goodrx.com. On this website you will be able to type in the medication and dose and it will provide you with coupon codes and the location of where you need to obtain the product. Regardless of what site you use you will still need to obtain a prescription from your veterinarian. I always caution my clients when they are planning to purchase these types of products from pharmacies of unknown origin as we cannot be certain how the drugs are being stored and what source they are obtaining the drugs from. Do your due diligence before deciding on which place to use. I have had relatively good experiences with Valley Vet Supply.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Unfortunately we can not prescribe medications. The law requires a Veterinary Client Patient Relationship and to have this an in person examination of the pet is needed to prescribe medications. We are here to provide advice and support. If Laddie is sick and needs medications I recommend contacting his Veterinarian. I wish you the best!

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If this is a behavior that you would like to stop, I find that using a spray bottle filled with water and spraying a dog lightly in the face helps to correct the behavior. Also, using an empty can filled with coins and shaking it loudly can help as well. I used both techniques on my dog and it worked quite well. The can trick was by far the most effective in my case. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. Please remember to rate this answer as helpful or not. Thank you!
