Is it safe to put a bed in my puppy's crate, especially if they chew?
Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Beds are fine in crates as long as they are not chewed up and/or pieces aren’t swallowed that would cause an obstruction. If Jasper chews the bed then he shouldn’t have a bed in his crate. I hope this helps!

My dog eats crate blankets. How to keep him safe and comfortable?
Unfortunately, this is one of these situations that really stinks. Yes, of course you want Moose to be comfortable, but you also don't want him to be in surgery the next day having blankets removed from his intestines! If it were my dog, I simply wouldn't risk it. I would maybe try to put something very thin in there, like a bed sheet, and see if he still tries to destroy that. Some dog don't like how it smell either unfortunately, so it may not be the most enjoyable experience for Moose. The safest best would be to leave the crate empty. My dogs regularly sleep on the cold, hard floor in my house voluntarily and seem quite comfortable. I wouldn't fret over this issue too much.

Hi there. Rogue is adorable!! Thanks for the photos! I would suggest you try putting him in the crate with a REALLY good treat for small periods of time each day. Start with only 5 minutes and then each day increase by a minute or two. When I say a REALLY good treat I mean one like a Kong with stuff inside so that #1, it is a good experience for him to be inside the crate from the moment he gets in and #2, it will occupy him for some period of time (instead of a small bite of a treat he eats in one second). https://www.kongcompany.com/101/kong-101/ Hope this helps. A crate or crate training is never a bad idea. It can also serve as a safe place for Bella (as you have stated). It doesn't need to be huge either, just big enough for her to lay down, turn around and stand. Make sure there are no sharp edges and that the bars are close enough together so she cannot get her head between them.
