Choosing flea, tick, heartworm meds: Revolution, Advantix, Heartgard?

Congratulations on your new dog! I like Revolution if you are looking for a topical product. It consistently works well and is well tolerated. If you like the idea of an oral product better, I like Trifexis (it’s another all in one product). Sometimes though the pets can smell the Trifexis and they won’t eat it. In that instance, I like Simparica and Interceptor. My personal preference is oral products. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

The most comprehensive protection you can get that is also the easiest to apply and has very, very few side effects would be Revolution. I highly recommend this. I will provide broad spectrum coverage for fleas, roundworms, hookworms, ear mites, scabies, etc. This will give you peace of mind. You can get this product easily by going to one of Petco's VETCO clinics inside their stores. Take Ford with you as the vet will need to see him. Hello, I agree with your veterinarian's recommendations. Advantage Multi for cats is a good product which covers against fleas, roundworms, ear mites, hook worms and heart worm so this may be a good product.
