Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There is diet that would be perfect for him because it can help him lose weight and it is also well-balanced. It is the Science Diet metabolic weight management diet. If you wish to not use a weight loss diet then any of the Science Diet foods for adult cats would be great for him. Good luck and have a great day!

You want to buy a food that is from a reputable company and meets AAFCO standards. Purina ProPlan is an excellent food, one I highly recommend. Not only do they meet AAFCO standards, but they have veterinary nutritionists on staff to ensure the food meets a cat's nutritional needs and run feeding trials. If Kenwood likes Blossom's Purina, it's fine to feed him that as well. You can feed Kenwood a mix of wet and dry food to help him lose a bit of weight. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would switch him to another good high quality diet such as one made by Purina, Royal Canin or Science Diet. Any of these would be good choices for him. You may find this online or at your local pet store. Good luck!

The best thing to do it to stop feeding everything except the dry Perfect Weight food. Canned food has a lot of calories and even the few pieces of chicken are too much for a cat that should be 12-13 pounds and not 21 pounds. He is seriously overweight/obese and at a huge risk for developing diabetes. Please cut everything out except the dry food.

I understand that it can be quite confusing to know what is good food versus bad food with all the conflicting information out there, but you definitely don't need to break the bank to feed good food. Also, there is A LOT misleading and outright false information amongst various people in the community, which may make you feel like you're feeding an inadequate or dangerous food. Purina One is a good food that I have fed to pets in the past. I have no problem with it and would only suggest that you ensure the food is labeled for Greyson's life stage. Below is a link that explains how to check the product for this information. There is no one food that I think is superior to any other and the reality is that they are all quite similar and provide adequate nutrients. https://www.petcoach.co/article/what-to-look-for-when-choosing-your-pet-s-food I hope that helps. If I missed something, please feel free to post the question again.
