I took my dog in for a rash he had from allergies, the vet from Boop by Petco prescribed pills and they worked amazing. he stopped itching and the redness went away, I just want to get his prescription refilled. do i have to take him in again or can

However, there are some supplements out there that can help. Yes, I would have recommended a probiotic. Which one are you using? It needs to be one made for dogs. Human probiotics or dairy products will not work and may actually make the diarrhea worse. I know you already got a probiotic but my favorite is Fortiflora. It definitely is a balanced diet that is safe for long-term use. It is most commonly used in dogs with skin issues or food allergies, so if this is a problem that Kira experiences, it would be a great choice. There are also lots of great foods that are available to you. I have fed my dog Purina Pro-Plan since she was a puppy. She is now 14 and has no health issues! I would discuss the best option with your vet.
