Do you want to know why Petco can offer such a great price on Proin? THEY CAN'T GET IT! I've been trying to get my girl's script filled for months without success. Don't waste your time.

Disappointed in Proin

Due to a vet surgeon error, my dog will need this medication for the rest of her life. It really frustrates me that I need to get vet approval every time I order this medication. It feels like I'm being taken. :( I would love a replacement medication that I don't need a vet subscription for.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I would’ve given a five but what I really need are 50 mg or 25 mg and you were not offering them. My dog does well on 25 and now I’m having to give her half of a 75. I don’t like it

Yes, I recommend this product.

I would like a full print out of the effects of Proin on dogs like Drs. Foster and Smith provided. My dog is having problems with Proin after years of it working and I would like to read about the side effects. Where is your print outs on medications?

  1. My 12.5yr old BC/GSP mix has been on Proin 75mg for years, as well. In working with our vet ( as all owners should), We've found that it works best for her by giving 1/2 tablet with each meal (2x a day) and then 1/4 pill before bed. The manufacturers info is on the product lable, but is more technical in nature, and information on Proin in more layman's terms can be found on the PetCo product page under the "more information " and "additional details " . Always good to discuss with your vet regarding your individual pet, too! Hope this helped.
