Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Ferrets make excellent pets as they like to interact with humans and other ferrets, are naturally playful, and accept a variety of foods. However, it is important to keep their home cage clean as they have a faster intestinal transit time (meaning up to 4 bowel movements per day) and make sure that your home is “ferret-proofed” to avoid foreign body obstructions and injuries. You should also make sure that your city allows ferrets to be kept as pets, as they are illegal in certain areas. Good luck with your potential new pet!

The short answer is yes, but....... if there is a wire bottom to the cage then that is not recommended as it will cause sores on the ferret's feet. You can put something down to cover the wire or you can just try to get a cage with a smooth bottom. Hope this helps. If you want to post again with a photo of what specific type of cage you want to get we can maybe help you better. Best wishes.

Thanks for reaching out. Are you asking will it be safe for ferrets and a good cleaner. Yes since birds are typically more sensitive to chemicals than ferrets. A vinegar solution would work well also. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. Marshal Farms, Totally Ferret of 8 in 1 brand probably have the best reputation and experience. But others could be fine also, read the ingredient label. Ferrets are very finicky eaters so might have to perform trial and error.

It is OK but it is not the best. I prefer Zupreem or Marshalls and they are about the same price for the same weight bag of food. It is better to spend money on higher quality food and less money on treats and toys and other accessories.
