Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. I would recommend offering more toys that keep Benny busy longer. Kong toys that you can fill with peanut butter work great and you can find the kong toys online or at your local pet store. You can also try NaturVet Quiet Moments calm chews with melatonin which can also be found online or at your local PetCo. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Yes, most pet stores have a small animal section with a variety of toys. Look for chew toys with safe woods such as willow, apple, birch, spruce and aspen. Soft toys and exercise wheels are also good options.

It sounds like he has found a fun game to play with you and that is his new favorite playtime activity! While this may be frustrating for you, its possible he may just really like that particular play behavior. You could try some fixed hanging toys, such as this: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-teasers-and-wands/petpals-group-zippy-m-grey-springy-teasing-balls-toy https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-teasers-and-wands/petpals-group-vortex-m-grey-ring-teasing-balls-toy https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-scratcher-toys/you-and-me-sisal-cat-scratch-post As for why he is acting that way and not letting go, I suspect it is truly just that he thinks its a very stimulating, fun thing to do. Yes, I do! I love the Nina Ottosson puzzle toys for dogs. The dog has to solve a puzzle to get a treat, and there are varying levels of difficulty. Something like this would be great for Conan. I hope this helps.

Sometimes dog just like their old worn out toys, just like with kids. If he doesn't want to play with the new one and only wants the old one then let him play with the one he likes. The only reason I would take it away is if it will harm him. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.
