Petco should have an inflatable collar that works like an e-collar. It looks a lot like an inflated inner tube and it helps keep her from being able to turn her head far enough to reach her incision site.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks a little red but it could just be the coloring of the picture. As long as there is no heat, swelling or discharge it should be ok. There is a doughnut collar that may work- it blows up around the neck. A shirt would work too. One of those should help you out. Good luck and kisses to your pup!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is rare that this can actually affect her longterm. This is just typical behavior for a dog that is wanting to pull on the leash. I would encourage you to try to avoid this behavior as much as possible. You can try to use a dog trainer who can help you with this. Best of luck!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could have been from the grooming. If it is that small and superficial, it may heal on its own though it is hard to know based on a picture. You can continue to monitor it for now. If it does not improve or resolves within the next week, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It sounds like you are doing everything right. Normally, if you are able to fit 2 fingers then yes that should be ok. You can try to give her a treat when you put the collar on so that she starts associating the collar with something positive. They do get used to it relatively quickly within days to weeks. It may just take a bit longer for her. Good luck!
