Feline Pine and Yesterday's News are both more "pellet-like" options. I actually like these two brands a lot as they have the added benefit of not containing any additives or chemicals. Good luck! Thanks for asking Boop by Petco!

Best thing to do is to get a long, shallow plastic storage container (obviously just the box and not the lid) like the ones you get to store things under the bed. Seems to work the best. Cats like it because it is long. ( https://www.walmart.com/ip/Homz-60-Quart-Twin-King-Under-Bed-Clear-Latching-Storage-set-of-2/40977741 ) Other option is to take a regular large storage container and cut a hole in it on the side so he can go in/out. You can make it any size you want. Here is an example: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JaVrsy-RgY ) Remember, the more shallow it is for him to get in effectively, the higher chance litter will be scattered everywhere..... Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hello. The cats & kittens offered at Petco are actually managed by individual rescue groups. Prices will differ from rescue to rescue. All cats can do well if they are played with & fussed over once you get home. Can they get into trouble & sometimes make a mess? Absolutely. If you do not want hair & dander & kitty litter tracked all over the house, you should not have a pet. Cats may need to have their claws trimmed ( NOT REMOVED ) & plenty of opportunities to exercise their claws, otherwise they will scratch your furniture, moldings & walls. You will need different types of scratching surfaces, plenty of toys, a water & food dish, litter box ( or 2 ), & lots of patience. All cats are individuals, so when you go looking to adopt a cat, take your family & give yourself plenty of time to spend with your potential pet, & ask lots of questions about them. Good luck & thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I'm sorry to hear your new cat has been having litterbox issues. To start, I would recommend offering at least one other box of a different kind (covered vs not, for example). I would also add cat attract litter to the boxes, and consider putting a pheromone collar on her. If these suggestions are insufficient to help with her issue, I would recommend having her evaluated by a veterinarian to assure that there is no underlying medical issue contributing to her urination problems and then moving on with a plan from there. Good luck!

If you don't have money to purchase several litter boxes, you can use things like lasagna pans or even like small, shallow cardboard boxes that cans of cat food come in. Either of these are suitable containers for holding cat litter. The best way to train cats to use the litter box is to confine them to smaller areas with litter boxes until they are using them with regularity. Once they are, consider expanding the area of freedom slowly day by day until you are confident in their ability to go to the bathroom in the appropriate location.
