Hello, Many Petcos will accept surrendered pets. It depends on individual location. Call your local store and if they do not accept surrenders, they should be able to tell you the closest location to you that does. I hope this is helpful. My new bearded dragon from Petco is sick. Can I exchange it?
Only you can decide to exchange Peach or not. Your options include returning her for exam and treatment if indicated, exchanging her completely or taking her to your own veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles for an exam. You are well within your guarantee period with Petco. Contact the store where Peach was purchased and discuss your options with store personnel.

What's the Petco age limit for buying a live animal without a parent?
Customers under the age of 18 cannot purchase live Companion Animals or Aquatic Life without a parent or guardian present. (Excluding crickets and worms). Due to the demands of time and intricate care required with certain species, it is in the best interest of the animals to not sell to minors. Parental permission at time of sale will ensure a better home for the animal and lower our rate of return.

Can pet reptiles and amphibians safely live with a cancer patient?
Hello, and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. While I would recommend your mother consult with her doctor about their recommendations for her, I see no reason why they couldn't be in the house. However, be aware that Salmonella bacteria is part of the natural skin flora of many reptiles, so I would take that into consideration and limit her contact with the pets. But, again, her doctor would be the best person to offer her guidelines. Hope this helps.
