We washed our cats with flea and tick treatment Monday 2 times to get rid of them. That night we gave them pet armor plus. Thurs as we comb them they still have tons of more fleas now. They were jumping and saw about 13. We stopped combing so more wo
Unfortunately Pet Armor is a very poor product, and I don't recommend it. Flea collars typically don't work unless you get a good one like Seresto. I would get them Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas in 30 minutes. It's safe to give with the Pet Armor, and give it daily until two weeks have passed after you put on the Pet Armor. Then applied a good flea treatment program like Revolution or Advantage. You also have to disinfect the environment, as that will be a continuing source of fleas . Wash their bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. I hope this helps!

Hi, we used vetguard plus for dogs on my dog 2 weeks ago and she still had fleas. So We gave her a flea bath last night with GNC dog essentials flea and tick shampoo but realized it didn't kill fleas it just repealed them. And our dog still has fleas
The Vetguard plus contains a product that is not good for killing fleas, so it makes sense why you are still seeing them. The Petarmor is a totally different product, so it's safe to use and has ingredients that are good at killing fleas. I'd recommend trying that product and seeing how it goes. The fleas should all be dead after 3 days. I hope that helps and you get this problem under control soon.

I treated my 60lb GSD female (healthy) with pet armour plus topical 2 days ago for a flea problem. She still has fleas and flea dust everywhere. Can I combine this treatment with cap star oral pill?
Yes, you can certainly give Luna a dose of Capstar after applying Pet Armour Plus. The Capstar should kill adult fleas quickly, but will not provide lasting prevention against maturing larvae and eggs. Pet Armour should be able to provide this prevention for the remainder of the month. However, when Luna is due for another dose of flea prevention next month, I would instead recommend using a higher quality product, such as Nexgard, Bravecto, or K9 Advantix II, as I tend to find these products more effective. I used petarmour plus on my 12 pound puppy....I used the 4-22 lb dose and I bombed my home.....he s till has fleas...what do I do
You listed Ruger's age as 12 days, and if that is the case your options are pretty limited. I am guessing though that you meant 12 lbs, and the average German Shepherd puppy would be about 8 weeks old if they weighed 12 lbs. If that's the case you have many more oral and topical options. I often recommend Nexgard, but your veterinarian may have a product that is preferred in you area. You probably need something that will kill fleas quickly, and you may also need to vacuum and bomb your house again. I'd recommend contacting your vet.

Sometimes the best place to get advise for fleas is from the locals or the local veterinarian. The reason for this is that fleas in certain geographic areas are more susceptible to certain products than others. For instance, when I lived in NY everyone used Frontline and loved it. When I went down to Virginia, everyone hated it and their animals would be crawling with fleas regardless of use. Here in Pennsylvania, it doesn't seem to work well either. I find that that the Seresto collar is the most effective product, and it is nice because it lasts or eight months. It can be purchased over the counter on websites such as amazon or at Walmart.
