Is Pediasure okay for orphaned kittens before I get kitten formula?
Please try to get kitten formula. I do not recommend using anything else as it can lead to severe diarrhea that can be debilitating in tiny kittens. Most pet stores, farm supply stores or vet clinics should carry kitten milk replacer. Even some grocery stores may have it. My new kitten won't drink formula. What milk replacer is best?
You did not mention how old Lulu was. If she is between 6 weeks old or older, she is weaned and does not need any milk. I don't recommend to give cats milk if they are consuming a normal commercial balanced cat food. If Lulu is younger than 6 weeks, this Royal Canin milk is meant to be a supplement to kitten food and is meant for kittens 4-12 weeks of age. If she is younger than 4 weeks, she needs a different type of formula like KMR which is a milk replacer and not a supplement. Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Yes, you can. There is also a Kitten weaning formula, but the milk is fine. I would also provide the dry food plain, so Sky can crunch down if she wants too. Take care.

Is evaporated milk safe for orphaned kittens? What should I feed?
An orphaned kitten needs formula that is specific to his needs and evaporated milk is not nutritionally balanced for him. Commercial kitten formula is available at any pet store or places like Wal-Mart or you can make your own at home with some ingredients you may already have on hand. Formula #1 • 8 oz. Homogenized whole milk • 2 egg yolks • 1 teaspoon salad oil • 1 drop liquid pediatric vitamins (optional) Formula #2 • 1 part boiled water to 5 parts evaporated milk • 1/2 teaspoon bone meal per 16 oz fluid Formula #3 (do not use if diarrhea is present) • 1 can Evaporated Milk • 1 egg yolk • 2 tablespoons Karo syrup Formula #4 • You ca12oz of water • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin • 1 12oz can of whole evaporated milk (not skim) • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, not nonfat Formula #5 • 1 cup of whole milk • 1 large egg • 2 teaspoons of powdered protein • 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast • 110 mg of powdered calcium • 1-day dose of vitamins formulated for adult cats Formula #6 • 8 ounces water (boiled then cooled) • 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatin • 8 ounces whole evaporated milk (not skim) • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (not low fat) • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt (not low fat) • 1 large or 2 small eggs yolks (raw) • 1 teaspoon clear Karo syrup • *1-3 drops liquid pet vitamins • *1 capsule acidophilus • *1 drop Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) *Optional, though very beneficial. Formula #7 • 3 oz. Condensed milk • 3 oz. Water • 4 oz. Plain yogurt (NOT low-fat) • 3 large or 4 small egg yolks Formula #8 • 4 oz. Evaporated milk • 4 oz. Stores closed, no kitten food. What can I feed my 1-4 week old kitten?
Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! If the kitten is 3-4 weeks old it can each canned kitten food. There are grocery stores and drug stores that are 24 hours. If it is 1-2 weeks older I would call an emergency vet hospital to see if they carry kitten formula that they will sell you.
