You can try to make the grooming experience as pleasant as possible for Penelope so that she will be more willing to hold still. I'd try offering her a very highly valued treat (something she loves and only gets when groomed) to distract her while you try grooming her. As long as she does not have a dietary sensitivity Peanut butter or spray cheese can work nicely. Initially you may need a second person to offer treats to distract while you groom, but hopefully Penelope will eventually allow you to groom her without an extra hand. You may want to also try Adaptil spray to help calm her during grooming. If these techniques do not work you will need to take Penelope to a veterinarian who offers grooming services. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are many omega 3 supplements you can buy online. I prefer the Nordic natural products that you can get from amazon as they are high quality and well-tolerated. It does help with the dandruff and skin issues in general. Good luck!

It may be that he has some inflammation and mild infection in his skin. Ideally, take him to your vet for an exam, especially if he seems itchy or uncomfortable. There is a great shampoo available by Duoxo that may be helpful. Typically these products are sold through veterinarians; however you can also find it on amazon. https://www.douxo.com/us/douxo-solutions/douxo-chlorhexidine. If it doesn't seem to be getting better, take him in. He may have some allergies and or another condition that needs more specific treatment. Thanks for asking Boop by Petco!

Rather than using the grooming option for fleas, do the following: Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Flea products: Spot-ons and/or chews Advantage, Advantix Advantage Multi (Advocate in the UK) Frontline (ticks as well) Bravecto spot on (ticks as well) - for cats, in tablet form for dogs Simparica,
