I typically recommend the following: 1. Welactin omega 3 fish oil for cats 2. Cosequin for cats 3. Duralactin paste 4. Dasuquin for cats Any of these will be great supplements to use. You can use the Welactin and Duralactin together along with either Dasuqin or Cosequin (not both). I hope this helps! If Stella is in a lot of pain from arthritis, she may need more than supplementation and more along the lines of pain medication to reduce inflammation and pain. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation if needed.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would ask your Veterinarian for an oral sedative for you to give 2 hours before travel. I would use the Feliway spray in his carriage. Once you arrive at your new home, he should be kept in a room by himself away from the other animals for a week then use a baby gate at the door for the him to see and greet the other cat and dog. Do that for a week, then remove the gate. be sure he has access to this room to run away if he needs to. This room can be your bedroom. Use the Feliway diffuser in this room. If there is aggression between the cats use the Feliway Multicat I wish you the best! https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37241 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37240 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37242

We actually see arthritis very commonly in cats, so I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Abby and talk about treatment options. One of my favorite treatment options for cats is Adequan injections (even though it is only licensed for dogs and horses). Cats tend to do very well with Adequan injections, and they only need to be given once a month after an initial series. I am attaching a link to handout that talks about medication and treatment options for arthritis below. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=587 Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thank you for using Boop by Petco! Cats should be on heart worm preventative. This maybe a seasonal recommendation depending on where you live. Also, the nail trimmers used with your dog can generally be used on your cat as well. Just be careful that the blades are sharp and fit the nail well. Always be aware of the quick of the nail and have something to help stop bleeding in case you hit the 'quick.'

The calming sprays can help but every pet responds differently. This sounds like this is quite the event! The following links may help.
