Wellness, Weruva and Royal Canin are all good choices. When it comes to a canned food, look for one with a named protein source of animal (not plant) origin. Choose a food that comes from the can looking like a hockey puck. Avoid foods with gravies or sauces. These are typically higher in carbs which can predispose a cat to obesity. Avoid meat meals, by-products as well as store or discount brands. These latter two contain low quality ingredients and more fillers.

Hi there! Hunny Cat is very cute! I believe it's better to feed cats canned food. It has more moisture and adds a little bit more hydration to their daily intake. Later in life, cats can commonly develop kidney disease and/or urinary bladder disease. In both cases, cats will benefit greatly from the increased water content of a canned diet. The canned food is a lot better too to help keep an indoor cat's weight in check. All indoor cats have a tendency to become overweight, as they don't exercise as much as feral cats. Since cats usually will ingest the canned food right away, it is easier to portion the food out and also provide cats with meal times. This is very helpful to increase their metabolism, and to help discourage them from gaining weight. Far too often, we see cats being fed a pile of dried food in a bowl where they eat buffet-style on and off all day long. It provides fluid as well as electrolytes. It is generally tasty to cats. It is designed for renal disease in cats, but could potentially benefit Eric as well. I hope this information helps!

Best low-carb wet food for cats?
Usually dry food is high in carbs, and wet (canned ) food for cats is low carb. Best commercial wet foods for cats in my opinion are Fancy Feast, and foods from companies such as Hill's Science diet, or Royal Canine. Friskies appears to be good also.

Which brand of grain free wet cat food do you believe is the best for a cat
I like EVO, Nutro and Avoderm brands. You ask 15 vets and you'll get 15 answers :) It is personal opinion for sure. I would try a brand and see if you cat likes it. If so, and it seems to agree with her then continue. If it doesn't seem to agree with her (diarrhea, vomiting, poor hair coat, less energy) then I would try a different brand until you find one that does agree with her. I hope this helps!
