Hello and thanks for using Boop by Petco! It may be helpful for you to provide more details as to what behavior you're trying to correct in Sabbath. As you have found out spraying with water and tapping or hitting never work. These punishments can actually make things worse and are not recommended. Positive reinforcement and consistency are key in any training. A Feliway diffuser may help you as well. Again, depending on the behavioral problem there may be different solutions so more details are helpful in Sabbath's case. If you are running into problems a consultation with your veterinarian or even a boarded veterinary behaviorist will help. They can even discuss behavioral medications if necessary.

Sorry! I’d suggest the S/O calm for stress relief. I’d also recommend starting Prozac and confining Gordon for 3 weeks. Clean all soiled areas with Nature’s Miracle and throw away rugs. Use Feliway diffusers in the room he’s confined in and his favorite spot. Use aluminum foil in previously soiled areas or prevent him from going in those rooms. Medical causes can become behavioral problems if they go on long enough. I hope this helps and good luck!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. It sounds as though the cats are stressed being near each other. If you have tried the natural products, I would recommend trying NaturVet Quiet Moments with Melatonin which can be found online or at your local pet store.

An enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle is the best for removing urine. It works by breaking down the actual urine particles to help remove smell and reduce staining. You can then use another cleaner as needed. Be sure to test any spots first with the enzymatic cleaner to make sure it doesn't harm what you are cleaning. Clothing and other loose fabrics can also be washed.

For situations like these I typically recommend a urine enzyme destroyer such as Nature’s Miracle. It helps clean up the urine as well as help eliminate the odor. Clean the area thoroughly as soon as you notice the cat has sprayed. To help prevent your cat from spraying you should have him neutered if he isn’t already. You may also want to add more litter boxes to your home. It is also helpful if you get a pheromone diffuser (like a DAP diffuser) that will help to relieve your cat’s stress and hopefully make him less likely to spray. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck!
