Where to find help with vet bills for my senior dog's health issues?
I'm sorry but it looks like your question got cut off. I'm not sure if I will be actually answering you correctly. If not, please post again with more information and photos of your pet's skin if you would like some product recommendations. Petco offers low cost vaccination, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, nail clipping, etc. through their weekend VETCO clinics inside their stores. It doesn't appear that there are any close to you though - the closest one is about 40 miles away. If you are willing to drive this may be your least expensive option. They do not charge an exam fee. Tractor Supply also has a similar program. Getting a new puppy? What should I do to prepare for their arrival?
Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. For short walks, a few minutes, she can probably go out as is. If you plan on spending more than 5-10 minutes outside or if Maggie takes a long time to do her business, then you may want to consider booties and a coat.
