Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You have a few options here. You could get a muzzle to avoid getting bit. You could consider bathing him which will make the lump of feces more manageable when is wet. Also, you could consider using an e-collar so that it is difficult for him to get around you to potentially bite. Good luck!

My dog eats poop. We've tried the pills. They don't work. What do we do now?
You can try For-Bid powder. Mix it into the food. Buy it from your veterinarian or at the local Petco. You can also leash walk Sadie to steer her away from stool or areas where there is stool. A last resort would be a basket muzzle which may prevent her from eating stool or at least make it harder to give you time to get her away from it. Pick up any stool in the yard before she goes outside or as soon as she is done defecating. Review her diet with your veterinarian to confirm adequate nutrition and use a variety of toys, tasks and exercise to keep her distracted from any stool.

My dog usually does good pooping outside, but recently has been pooping in and out of the house. The last time that happened, she had inner parasites. We took a poop sample to the vet for testing, and it came out negitive. She also goes to a daycare
It's possible she is getting mixed signals from daycare but it's impossible to say for sure. I recommend crating her when you are not directly watching her and at night. This may help to remind her about her housebreaking. You may also want to walk her more often and keep her feeding on a schedule. As long as you use gloves or a baggie then wash your hands afterwards, it is safe for you. Talk to your dad and maybe come to an agreement. Doing "poop patrol" could be your chore to earn an allowance.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poop eating is usually behavioral or a taste preference. I do not recommend feeding raw especially home made. Home made raw runs the risk of being deficient in nutrients and not appropriately balanced. Raw runs the risk of food born illnesses in the dog and human (salmonella). You can try changing puppy foods and supplementing with a vitamin but it usually isn't due to diet. I would walk Lisa and immediately pick up her stool. have her learn the "leave it" and "come" commands so you can distract her from eating the stool. I like the muzzle gentle leader harnesses as they make it easy to pull the face away from things. Overall it is a disgusting habit that has to be managed by the owner. I wish you and Lisa the best!
