Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. He looks beautiful. Most cats love crumpled paper balls! But you can try the fuzzy mice that are available from a pet store or get one of the angling toys (a stick with an attached string and a fetherball at the end). You can also make a feather toy for him by gathering a lot of feathers, tying them together and throwing it. Anotehr great toy is a ball into which you can put dry food. The ball has a few holes and as he plays with it the food falls out. once he figures out how it works, it is a great toy. (But my cats still like the small crumpled paper balls best.....)

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Charley and your dog are very cute! It is going to be very hard to make this happen. Since they are never inside together there is no way to train either of them or desensitize them to each other. Ideally the dog should have been trained with the cat when she was a puppy. At that time allowed to play with her and learned not to attack the cat with your help and by Charley smacking her. Now your dog is fully grown and can easily hurt Charley and may think she is prey when she runs. The only way to safely do this is to bring the dog in the house with a leash and a basket muzzle on and allow them to spend time together in the same room. Teach the dog to not chase the cat when it runs away. This will take a long time and I don't know if I would ever feel fully comfortable with them alone together. You may be surprised though and find that the dog doesn't chase the cat maliciously. Cats over all take a long time to adjust to change but most of the time t

Poor Cezare! It's no fun to be recovering from surgery, but it sounds like you're doing a great job protecting him. One thought is that if he's only inside because of the neighbor's kibble, you could ask them to bring the kibble in for the remainder of his recovery period. If he's inside for the other reasons as well (such as still needing regular medication or rest), walks outside on a harness or just hanging outside with him on a long lead and the harness can give him an outlet. I'm not sure if you'd want to spend a bunch of money for just the next few days, but if he likes to hunt birds outside, there are bird feeders that can be attached to the outside of your windows to attract birds and then have a one way glass so Cezare could see out at them.
