Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. Unless the wax is interfering with flight or movement, then I would not be too concerned. But if you want to remove it, I would use a hairdryer on low & take your time softening up the wax. Gently work or scrape the wax from the feet & feathers, & all should be good. Thank you.

Picasso is very cute! Entertaining him greatly depends on what he is interested in. If he likes to be out and about with you, setting up a cage-top or stand playpen where he can be near you but have things to chew on or play with may be fun for him. Spending time together bonding or learning some tricks together may also be enriching for him. Some birds love to shower, so setting up a perch in the shower and letting him explore/enjoy the steam and mist may be fun for him too. If he doesn't like his current toys, trying out different ones that offer treats, encourage preening, etc may be more enriching for him.

It might be that John is just very excited/happy in that moment and is wanting to let everyone know. If he's otherwise acting healthy and normal I wouldn't be too worried. You can try offering a treat or placing a new toy in his cage to see if it helps keep him happy and interested in something to play with.

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It looks like he is not doing well based on those pictures. It is very important that he is evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible as there is not much you can do at home without a veterinary evaluation. They would be able to evaluate him further to see the extent of the injuries so these can be treated accordingly. Hoping for a speedy recovery!
