What Jet has done is effectively trained you to feed him what he wants to eat. You can break him of the habit, but it will take time and effort. Dogs thrive on routine, so begin a consistent feeding schedule if you don't already have one. Choose a kibble he will eat. There are many good ones on the market. Since he likes chicken, choose a chicken flavor. Once you have chosen a diet, stick with it. Changing diets frequently may lead to stomach upset and can reinforce a finicky eater's behavior. Prepare his meal at the scheduled time and leave it down for 20 to 30 minutes before picking it up, whether he has eaten or not. Repeat this at the next scheduled mealtime. You can mix some warm water or a teaspoon of baby food into the meal to stimulate his appetite. Do not feed him between meals or offer any snacks. You'll need to be firm and resist his begging. He will not starve. He will eat when he gets hungry and realizes no other food will be forthcoming.

Hello. If you can keep her indoors, that would be best. You could also start her on an antibiotic made for poultry available at your feed coop. Other than that, make sure she eats & drinks, & if the foot gets worse or does not seem to be healing, please consider having her seen by your veterinarian. If your hen is free ranging, ie, can walk and eat wherever she likes, then she will teach her chicks to eat insects and seeds and grit and you will not need to add anything. If your chicken is in a coop and cannot take her chicks out to forage, then you need to buy either commercial baby chick starter food or feed them insects and worms and chopped greens. You can also feed them chopped boiled eggs. You can also mix finely chopped hard-boiled eggs with oatmeal ground lentils, ground maize, flax, millet. You can add worms and other insects. They will always need fresh water available.

My hen keeps trying to take food from another larger hen and doesnt eat other food offered to her. As a result, she's getting her feathers picked at by the larger hen. Is there anything I can do?
Offering extra food for both hens may encourage your hen to peck at her own food. If they're fighting to the point of pulling feathers, removing the dominant hen for a short bit and then reintroducing them may also help.
