I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
Here are a few products that may be similar for you to try out for James (cute name!) [Lafeber's Nutri-Berries](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/lafebers-nutri-berries-parrot-food): while not entirely pelleted, they are a nice mix of nutrients that are fun to eat and can be broken down to smaller sizes. [ZuPreem Avian Maintenance Natural](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zupreem-avianmaintenance-natural-bird-diet-for-parrots-and-conures): a good pelleted food that may be of a similar size to what you were feeding prior. They also offer[ ZuPreem Classic](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zupreem-classic-avianmaintenance-natural-bird-diet-for-large-parrots) which is a slightly larger size of the formulation, you may want to try out both to see if James prefers one to the other.

my 6-7 week half moon conure is gonna start needing adult food any advice on what kind and brand is the best?
A commercial pelleted diet is most convenient and typically provides more complete nutrition. Recommended brands include Harrison's and LaFeber. A seed mix can be offered as well but limit amounts to prevent obesity. Fresh fruits and vegetables can also be offered. A simple search online will yield lists of acceptable fruits and vegetables.

It will take time. Allow him to keep eating from your hand. Use treats to coax him onto your hand and when you pet him, do not come in from above. This can be a threatening motion for birds. Approach at or below eye level and move slowly. The female will require a bit more work in getting acclimated to your hand. You can do the same though. Use treats and rewards. Keep your hand near her, but don't try to touch her, for ever increasing periods of time. Provide additional food and water bowls to prevent resource protection.

If Mithu is refusing to eat at all I would be concerned that he is ill. It would be best to bring him to a local vet for an exam to rule out issues such as illness, infection, parasites, nutritional issues, etc that could be causing him to feel ill and not want to eat. If he checks out healthy and just doesn't like his food, a balanced seed and pellet diet is a good base diet that provides plenty of nutrients. You can then add in fruits and veggies as treats to help add some variety and balance things out. The best thing to offer your parrot is a diet that consists mainly of pellets (80%) and then fruits and veggies (15-20%). Less than 5% of his diet should be from “people food” because it will not give him the proper vitamins and minerals he needs. The good news is that Rangu is still very young and you should be able to adjust his dietary habits fairly easily.
