I'm having a really old book(from 80s or 90s) contains things like breed standards and AKC obedience and Agility standards and how to train in these but I'm afraid it might be a little bit out of date for the current standard. What would you recommen
You can search online for an updated edition of the book in question. Sites such as Amazon ( www.amazon.com ) or the AKC Shop ( https://shop.akc.org ) may have it or a similar publication. "The New Complete Dog Book" ( https://shop.akc.org/products/the-new-complete-dog-book ) may be something you would be interested in.

Joey is a 2.5 year old 98lbs German shepherd, Rottweiler, pit mix, is he a large or giant breed? Are there any dietary benefits I should belooking for in his food?
I would say Joey is a large breed dog based on his mix of breeds. I recommend feeing him a high quality large breed dog food. These foods will have joint support, which is great for bigger dogs. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Thank you for submitting your question. Congratulations on your new dog! Indestructible toys are going to be best until you see how aggressive of a chewer he or she will be. Young puppies are not as destructive as older puppies and adult dogs. You may want to try a variety of products to see what this dog will like best. Kongs, puzzle toys and Nylabones are a good variety. You just want to make sure that pieces cannot be bit off of any toy. Nylabones can be hard on the teeth if the dog chews too aggressively. As far as treats, start with peices of the dog's regular kibble. There will be a lot of stress with moving to a new home. Additional diet changes can lead to diarrhea. I hope this information helps!

Dogs are emotional and can become distressed / sad when a loved one passes away. Unfortunately, it just takes time. There are some things you can try to help ease the stress for Sadie. I would recommend the below products and see if these help. I would also take her out more for walks and socialize her and consider taking her to the dog park as well to interact with other dogs.
