Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. My top recommendations of veterinary diets include Hill's Science Diet, Purina, and Royal Canin. These are well-known brands that are stocked in veterinary hospitals, and are AAFCO formulated to be balanced and appropriate. I recommend avoiding grain-free, boutique diets from other brands, as these are not regulated and often are do not have balanced nutrients. I hope this is helpful!

Easy snacks include raw carrots or green beans. You can also dehydrate boneless chicken breasts to use as treats and rewards. Most of the premium diets offer treats in their product lines. These brands include Royal Canin, Canidae, Acana or Orijen.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dom is adorable! I think that if he consistently eats the Crave then I would feed him that. I know it is pricey but it may save you in the long run from buying all different types of food to tempt him. Look for pet stores that offer discounts or a frequent buyers program. Look online for cheaper prices. The other option is to buy one food and stick it out. Put it down and if he refuses to eat with in a period of time remove it. Try again next meal time. Healthy dogs usually do not chose starvation and will eventually eat. It may take 3 days. You can try adding water at the 3 day mark. Personally I would buy what he likes. I hope this helps and I wish yo u and Dom the best!

Since Cash is a small dog, you might consider one of the more expensive options such as a dehydrated or fresh food diet. They are able to control their ingredients much more easily than a large manufacturing plant does that makes dry food. I have been very pleased with The Honest Kitchen ( https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/ ) and Just Food For Dogs ( https://www.justfoodfordogs.com/ ). Both have foods that will not have chicken and both have options without any poultry. You do not have to worry about the potential addition of chicken fat which a number of dry food companies do as well. If those are not good options for Cash, then you may consider a canned food which again will generally be safer than a dry food at making sure there isn't any chicken contamination. I have been pleased with Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diets ( https://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/ ), but be sure to read the labels carefully. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and gives you some ideas. Thanks for using PetCoach.

"The New Complete Dog Book" ( https://shop.akc.org/products/the-new-complete-dog-book ) may be something you would be interested in.
