My personal (and totally independent of PetCoach or Petco) recommendation would be the FitBark2. It is small, durable and links to my FitBit. It is at the top of the list here too: https://www.caninejournal.com/dog-activity-monitor/

The area on Finley's neck may be a hot spot. I have attaching a link with more information below. https://www.vin.com/apputil/project/defaultadv1.aspx?pId=19239&SAId=1&species=All&id=4952729 It sounds like Finley needs to see your veterinarian. They will be able to take a swab from his ears to determine if he has an ear infection, what is causing it, and what medication would be best. They will also be able to evaluate his neck and determine if that needs treatment. Finally, I am concerns that he is sleeping all the time and does not want to move. Your veterinarian can evaluate him for any other pain that may be causing a problem and give him appropriate medication to help him feel better. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and that Finley feels better soon. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Hi, thank you for using PetCoach! From your post, I gather you are wondering what other testing and/or therapies are appropriate to maximize Finley's life span and quality of life. For testing, I would be interested in his urine specific gravity, a urine protein:creatinine ratio, leptospirosis titers (unless vaccinated for lepto), tick titers, and abdominal ultrasound. I would also be interested in more of his medical history. This would be a good case for a consult if you are interested, and I am available through this system. Things that tend to help are Increasing Finley's water intake, putting him on a diet lower in protein (typically prescription), keeping him on medications that prevent gastroduodenal ulceration, and some supplements help. Cranberry extract-based supplements are a neutraceutical class of supplement meaning they are not regulated by the FDA and do not have a lot of research behind them. That said, one I would recommend is this: Nutramax Crananidin Pet Supplement, 75 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077CYK6E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xWmUzbACQAY5N Give as labeled. I am sorry Finley has such a significant disease and hope he does well! I hope you find this information helpful!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center! I personally like the Purina Pro Plan diets as well as the Hill's Science Diet foods as I think they are both palatable and highly nutritious. In terms of treats, I think the milk bones products are both nutritious, palatable and reasonably priced. Good luck and best wishes!

I would recommend either of the follow backpacks: 1- Zanies Casual Canine Backpack Carrier 2-Wacky Paws Sporty Dog Carrier BackPack 3-Kyjen Front Facing Dog Backpack Carrier Either of these are great for carrying small dogs on walks or hikes!
