Ideally, the UVB light source should run the entire length of the tank. A thermometer/hygrometer should be on each end of the tank to confirm cool and warm sides. Use a digital thermometer to verify temps. Those little ones you have can be inaccurate. Provide a hide on both sides as well. Personally, I would remove the fake grass as it has the potential to cause eye injuries. Your tank looks good otherwise.

Just prior to shedding, the skin will become dull and the eyes will turn a cloudy blueish white. The snake will also begin to rub on anything and everything in the enclosure. Increase humidity or provide a moist hide to facilitate shedding. A water bowl should be provided as well. Aspen shavings are ideal for bedding. Avoid anything dusty such as sand or kitty litter.

Wow I can't believe she is allergic to plain care fresh paper bedding. You can always try plain AstroTurf or reptile carpet which is really easy to clean but may not be as comfortable. I honestly think your shredded t-shirts are a great idea as long as she isn't trying to eat any of it.

Care fresh bedding is what is recommended. It is the safest, healthiest bedding. Controls odors up to two times longer than traditional bedding. Absorbs up to three times its weight in liquid. Made from reclaimed wood pulp waste, not recycled paper. *99% dust-free for easy cleanup *Natural paper small animal bedding *CareFresh pet bedding with 10-day odor control formula *Absorbs 3 times more liquid than wood shavings Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Possibilities include infection, parasites, burns or trauma (from a fall or bedding). Changing out the bedding was a smart move. Take it a step further and remove all cage furniture in case Erebus is climbing then falling. Confirm proper temperature and if you have a heat rock, remove it immediately. An exam with your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles would be recommended to diagnose illness or injury.
