Thank you for using Boop by Petco! Finches are a rather social species, so they tend to do very well in large groups. Their social state has a large weight on their wellbeing, so you should keep an eye out for any finches that have feather loss due to feather picking or are being excluded from the group. To keep their environment enriched, you can provide a variety of perches, nesting boxes, grit, and occasional treats. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you have!

Provide a fortified seed mix as well as a pelleted diet (Harrison's, Pretty Bird, Lafeber or KayTee Exact). A cuttlebone or mineral block should also be placed in the cage. Enough nesting material should also be available to cushion and protect the eggs.

There are many places to look for budgie toys online, and doing a simple google search can help you find them. Looking at places such as Petco (if available in your area), Drs Foster Smith, etc, or other online pet stores can give you an idea of what's available and can be shipped to you. most places will also mark the size of the toy so you can pick out ones appropriate for budgies.

If you cannot find measurements for the cage type you are looking at, I would go with a different company or location to one that offers measurements such as bar sizing, cage sizing etc, before purchasing. Birds can be picky eaters, and very messy ones, and they may throw food just for the fun of it. Continuing to offer a variety of fruits and veggies in addition to his regular food can help him become more interested in trying (and hopefully liking) more things. Cage guards can also be useful in helping contain the normal mess birds make as they eat.

Thanks for reaching out about your finch and including photos. A veterinary visit is recommended but understand if one is not available, but only limited things can be done at home. Weakness can have multiple causes, with infections being only one possibility. Provide heat support in the 80-85 F range can give some support. Finches eat primarily seed but also need a vitamin/mineral/protein support in the form of a wide variety of vegetables. Provide a soft bedding/towels on the bottom of the cage to protect if falls. Good luck.
