Hi there. Cody is a very handsome kitty :) Enalapril's effects are pretty subtle and long-term, so it shouldn't cause any significant issues for him to miss a few doses. Just get his prescription filled when you are able to, and continue the meds as directed once you have them.

Yes, Nelio is benazepril and that is a very common drug used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of cardiac and renal diseases. Here is an information sheet on this drug: http://beta.veterinarypartner.com/default.aspx?pid=17256&catid=93448&id=4952711 Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Enalapril is the generic form of this medication and it is the same as the enalapril used in humans. Lasinopril is a similar drug, is in the same class, and has a similar mode of action. Ofterntimes it is doctor preference which one is prescribed but occasionally there are reasons to choose one over the other. Enalapril is more commonly used in veterinary medicine. So yes, you could potentially switch to lasinopril but I would definitely speak with the prescribing veterinarian first to make sure there are no specific reasons to avoid it. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck.

Hello. You can definitely skip the 7 PM dose today & restart the schedule tomorrow morning, or if you think it will simplify things, just give the pill in the evenings from here on out. But, skipping tonight & restarting in the morning will have no adverse consequences for Walter. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
