My healthy dog (~35lb) may have ingested my older dog’s (~38lb) enalapril maleate (10mg) and spironolactone (12.5 mg)
Can I substitute Lisinopril for enalapril for 1 dose? Web says yes but would like an expert to advise
Dog (female) is approx. 15 yrs old diagnosed with leaky heart valve. She has been taking Enalapril 1 tablet 5 Mg twice a day and most days Furosemide 20 Mg once per day for over one year . Two weeks ago developed heavy cough my vet prescribed Temaril-p 1 tablet (has T over 100) on tablet yesterday was fourth day 1 tablet every 12 hours and no relief from cough. Today Vet recommended Hydrocodone/Homatrop 1.5- 5 Mg every 8 to 12 hours. Is it OK to continue the Enalapril and Furosemide.
OK he ingested Lisinopril I believe 10 r 20 ml
can lasinopril replace elanapril ....? or what human drug is the same as elanipril??
I may have given dog an extra dose of enalapril by accident. I counted pills and might be one off. He is a 64 lb border collie taking it bc if extra protein in urine. He takes a 10mg pill every 12 hrs.

My vet wants to issue script every 30 days only. Cost £10 for script and £48 for 30 tablets. Can I get a prescription online for vidalta for a longer period and for more than 30 tablets Thanks
I am unable to get my cat's prescription of Enalapril 2.5Mg refilled until Tuesday. He is taking 1 pill in the AM and half a pill at night. I gave him half a pill this AM as that's all I had left. So he will not be able to take any tonight, tomorrow or Monday. Should I be worried about him going without the drug for that long? Thanks for any help. I attached 3 pics of him just for your own amusement :)
Can I give 8.25mg potassium which is present in Vetriscience Renal Essentials/tablet daily along with enalapril 2.5mg twice and pimobendan 1.25mg once, to clear his elevated BUN, protein in urine and echogenic sediments present in bladder. He weighs 12.200kg.Urine was acidic ph6.5 BUN 26.1 MG/DL Ref range 8.8-25.9 MG/DL Creatinine 1.15 MG/DL Ref range 0.5-1.6MG/DL I'm attaching photos of two supplements which one is safer to give please? Any protein retriction required atm?
My dog has heart failure, currently on pimobendan, frusemide and spironolactone. Recently she had cough and then sudden weakness with high shriek thrice already and I'm thinking of bringing her to vet soon. Most likely she will be started on enalapril. Will that harm her kidney? Cos her BUN was already high from her last blood test. Will enalapril cause Dry cough like what it does to humans?
