One of my favorite shampoos for my pit is by a company called Earthbath. https://earthbath.com/ They have a large shampoo line (including an ultra-gentle puppy shampoo) which is all very good quality. https://earthbath.com/product-category/shampoo/ I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Yes you can use pet formulated fish oils to help with dry skin in general. Also a high quality dog food such as Royal Canin skin support, Eukanuba, or Evo can also help. I would also recommend a conditioner from your local vet that you can spray him with in between baths. The shampoo you have it the best thing to do and once you do it twice weekly for 3 consecutive weeks or so, you won’t have to do it so often. I hope this helps. Best wishes and take care.

How frequently to bathe your dog will depend on their skin/coat and if they have any medical conditions. In general we don't recommend bathing more than every 2 weeks unless there is a medical reason or the dog is getting excessively dirty. A mild shampoo such as a colloidal oatmeal shampoo and creme rinse like the Epi-soothe line is a great product, or you can see what products your vet carries for general bathing.

Hi there! I often recommend a nice, soothing oatmeal shampoo for dogs. And you can add some omega 3 fatty acid supplements to the food! Try the shampoo for a few weeks, and if it's not improving, Jackie should see his veterinarian to see if he needs some prescription strength shampoo and/or conditioning spray and/or oral medications. Best of luck!
