Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Marshall is super cute! The most common thing in pet food that can cause allergies is actually not the grains but the protein. Chicken being the biggest allergen. I would get Marshall off chicken and try Salmon, venison, bison or beef. All his treats need to be made of the same protein and he can not have any table foods. His diet would need to be strictly monitored. You should give the diet 2-3 months before trying another or a prescription hydrolyzed diet. I would also consider a Omega 3 fish oil. What chicken-free multivitamins for senior dog with DM & allergies?

I'm so sorry to hear that Wesson has degenerative myelopathy (DM). It is a horrible disease that we see far too commonly. There isn't any treatment that is proven to slow the progression of DM other than regular exercise. That being said, there are some recommendations for diet and supplements. The most common protocol that people have used is Dr. Clemmon's DM diet and supplement recommendations. Hello. Honestly, I recommend either Nordic Naturals or Bayer Free Form Snip Tips. Both of these are highly recommended by veterinary dermatologists, too. You will need to call other veterinarians to see who carries Cytopoint.
