Hello, I would try this shampoo and then the mousse to help with pruritis: ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Douxo-SOGEVAL-Disinfecting-Shampoo-Skin/dp/B009EFH8CA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1531993631&sr=8-10&keywords=duoxo ) ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/SOGEVAL-Douxo-Maintenance-Care-Foam/dp/B00KX7J04C/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1531993631&sr=8-11&keywords=duoxo ) Use as directed. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hello. If his skin is damaged, then you want to use an antibacterial shampoo until the lesions heal. Anything with Benzoyl Peroxide or Chlorhexidine will work well. You will need to probably bathe him every few days, so alternate with a shampoo that has anti-itch properties such as Pramoxine or 1% hydrocortisone. The key to using any medicated shampoo is to make sure you leave the lather on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Finally, you should use a skin barrier preparation that contains ceramides. Allerderm Spot-on by Virbac & Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-on are 2 highly rated products. Ueing these products along with diet & appropriate medications should make Mumble much more comfortable. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Both of them are products containing omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins and fish oil basically. Any veterinary product available in Portugal with similar content (ask your local veterinarian as unfortunately I do not know about veterinary market products in Portugal) will be fine. These are not specific medicines but only supplements that can help with allergic skin but not treat the signs (itch usually). Drugs that will help with the signs would be basically steroids, Apoquel, and immunosuppressive medications. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation (where you can post pictures ) if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Judging from the pictures and your description, I would suspect that this could be due to a superficial bacterial skin infection. I would recommend using a shampoo such as Duoxo PS + chlorhexidine combination shampoo, fish oil such as Welactin and essential 6 spot on by Dermoscent. If there is no improvement with the skin / hair coat worsens, I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at Ruby so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

I would recommend the following to see if you get improvement without having to get these allergy shots. These can be quite beneficial and I've seen many dogs on these alone for allergy relief. 1. Douxo Calm PS shampoo 2. Essential 6 spot on by dermoscent 3. Krillex krill chews 4. Redonyl ultra soft chews I hope this helps! You can also use an antihistamine such as Benadryl along with all of these if the symptoms are still bad. ( https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/ )
