Comfortis is an excellent medication against fleas (it comes in a tablet formulation) which can be given once a month. Please ask your veterinarian for a prescription. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

I'm sorry you're having such a challenging time with Meowsie. It certainly is good of you to treat a feral cat. Crushing Comfortis and mixing it with food shouldn't cause a problem with its absorption, so I doubt that is your problem. If you are still seeing fleas, you might ask your vet for another recommendation, but Comfortis tends to work well. Unfortunately, when a cat has flea allergies or chronic skin problems, it can take a while for the itching to improve even once the fleas have been treated. I might consider giving her a fish oil supplement daily to help improve her skin and decrease her itching. There are a number of fish oil supplements for cats such as Wellactin ( http://www.welactin.com/?pg=cat ). Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

He may be allergic to fleas or the product itself. I would recommend an immediate check up to determine that and have a prescription product against fleas prescribed. Comfortis could be a valid option.

This is an overdose, and you may see signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and anorexia. Studies show no permanent damage to cats given an overdose, so that's good news. If you do see any of those signs I mentioned above, have B seen by a vet to be safe. I hope this helps!

Love his name! That is awesome! I would recommend Revolution or Advantage Multi. I personally like Advantage Multi better. Any product containing a heartworm prevention is a prescription item so you need to get your vet to either dispense the product or write you a script. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move!
