Petco approved than canceled my order?

Amy Ger

I just went to vetco with both of my cats however my order was cancelled by Petco. I can’t use topical treatments because my cats eat them off each other and have terrible negative reactions to the pesticides. My cats are indoor cats and my dogs are on chewable preventative treatments. The dogs could bring something inside and the cats are not protected. Petco didn’t approve this purchase even though I called before purchasing this item. When I called they said this would be fine. What do you suggest I use for the cats?

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is the only flea medicine that works. I usually break the pill in half and feed 24 hours apart to prevent vomiting.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Works Medium well but not Extremely well

JoJo L

The tablets work medium well (as opposed to extremely well). The tablets are huge and it's tricky to shove one down her throat given that she is a small cat. They give my cat an upset stomach and she sometimes vomits some of it back up. Usually this happens after an hour or two so I asked my vet if that was enough in her system to work because I don't want to give her a second dose and OD her. The vet thought it should be enough. I still had some problems with fleas this year and we don't usually ever have fleas since she's and indoor cat. I think fleas were bad everywhere this year. I was a volunteer for a cat rescue organization for over 15 years and I always used the topical formulations like Frontline and Revolution and they worked great but I tried one of these last year and it did not work well. So we switched to Comfortis at the suggestion of my Vet and my fiance' used it on his cat and it worked well for his cat - who did go outside. Unfortunately, his cat died from cancer a few years ago.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is the best thing to happen for battling fleas. One pill every month keeps fleas from your pet and out of your home. I personally use as a recommendation from our vet and it works beautifully.

No, I do not recommend this product.

No problems with fleas or ticks in western California. Over the counter products do not work here due to the year round warm weather.

Comfortis works —- within the first hour fleas are dropping off dead and my cats can relax. I only use one quarter of a tablet with food and the cats have no aversion to the taste.

Yes, I recommend this product.
