Hi there! You could try Feliway pheromone spray in her carrier before the trip, along with a natural calming supplement such as Zylkene or Composure. All of these can be ordered online or purchased at pet stores without a prescription.

You can buy a cat from Craig's list for example, but I do not recommend buying a cat sight unseen. I never recommend that. You should always check out the home where it's coming from, you can assess it's condition, and seeing the cat makes sure you are getting the animal you have paid for. In addition, there are no websites where you can just buy a cat and have it shipped to you. I hope this helps.

I definitely understand your concerns! Unfortunately, cats are quite sensitive to most human medications and there is really nothing you can use that would be likely to be on-hand at your house. Some owners have good luck with a natural calming supplement like Composure, Rescue Remedy, or a Feliway pheromone diffuser for these situations, but you would need to find an open store that carries a good selection of pet supplies and make a quick trip out to try and find these things.

What handsome kitties! This can be a tough problem. If you are moving them indoors I would consider trying the Feliway multicat pheromone diffusers in your home as well as Composure chews (a calming supplement) or Zylkene for cats. These products can be found online or at your vet. I would consider getting harnesses to take your cats outside for " walks". If the cats are miserable indoors you can also have special cat fencing installed to keep them in your yard or build an outdoor enclosure for them.
